BIOGRAPHYAlexis Gouten, EntrepreneurBorn in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1975, Alexis Gouten moved to Switzerland in 1986, where he completed his education.Alongside his university studies in economics and journalism, he joined the family business, Gouten Distribution SA, at its inception in 1995, beginning his career by distributing a renowned jewellery brand from Place Vendôme.In 2001, he founded Macher SA, and in 2007 took over the operational management of both companies.Over the years, Alexis Gouten has established himself as a specialist in luxury and art strategy, developing a unique 360-degree vision of the industry. His experience spans the entire value chain: as a brand owner, distributor, retailer, founder of online platforms, and art collector. This transversal expertise enables him to approach each project with both strategic depth and operational precision.He has introduced and developed around twenty prestigious brands on the Swiss market, including Frederique Constant, Raymond Weil, Roger Dubuis, Harry Winston, Greubel Forsey, De Bethune, Chaumet and Lancel.In 2013, together with his cousins, he acquired the high-end watch brand Manufacture Royale, further reinforcing his positioning within the world of fine watchmaking.In 2016, Macher SA, which had become the world’s second-largest client of the Frederique Constant group, was successfully sold to the group.Driven by a constant entrepreneurial dynamic, he subsequently launched Wobee, a platform focused on employee benefits, as well as Monarchy London, a luxury leather goods brand.In parallel, he founded AlexisGouten.com, a platform dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs in building and scaling their ventures, whether through brand creation, market entry, fundraising, or strategic repositioning for growth or turnaround.
